You don't have the right to not be offended. FAIR WARNING Here's the deal on my LJ. I live with five other human beings. There's only so much privacy you can have with a large family in one house, which also means there's only so much secrecy and head games you CAN get away with playing. I treat my LJ like an extension of my home. If I see douchebaggery towards you or someone else, I won't shut up, and you can't make me. What I say to you I will say to anybody and repeat anywhere, verbatim if asked, so the sneaky gossip stuff does not happen here. From me, or anyone. Considerations will be made for personal conversations held, but there is no commenting to my journal about how 'ugly so-and-so's dog' is, because the other person WILL see it. Honesty means everywhere. I go by various different nicks, but Kiko is the constant. You might've seen me as: kaleko, Datura, goingpublic, or DamageGirl. I want to be a linguist, with a career as a hospitality translator, and I begin my formal education on that in September. I currently work in hospitality and entertainment, namely a casino, which is so far pretty rockin'. I've also worked at a credit reporting agency, a university bookstore, an adult video store chain, and on a farm, among others. Cheese! hiroe; and my mother also lives with us, which adds for extra hilarity should a topic ever go... astray. kingofspank is an honorary house-member, dislocated by such unfortunates as geography and time.I surround myself with friends, and I believe in making your own family of people you love rather than just people you're related to, can't tolerate, or in unfortunate instances, hate altogether. I believe there is enough stress in life without having to deal with idiocy. I don't tolerate people's bullshit. I preach doing what makes you happy, and being happy with what you do. I believe that pride is the greatest downfall of most people today. Live every day as if it was your last. Don't go to bed angry, no matter what. Don't forsake the great friends in your life, but don't be a carpet. I'm a huge Ray Bradbury fan. I'm also a huge DC comics fan, and I write fanfic that usually never makes it online because I can never finish anything. I follow the Devin Grayson run of the Titans, but I also love the Batman books, Green Arrow, and Green Lantern. I can tolerate Marvel, although the past few years, they've betrayed my trust in their ability to make anything worth reading. I love almost any law/cop show. My geekness extends to cons when I can afford it, Star Trek TNG marathons, RPing at three very good LJ games (a DC, a Marvel, and a Whedon), video games (Unreal Tournament, Army Men RTS, Sims, Neverwinter Nights, Delta Force), icon making, urban exploring and photography, writing, and long discussions with my housemates, sometimes about whether or not an F-14 could beat a dragon.
